Tooth Fairy

It finally happened Riley's first tooth came out. Phil pulled it last night she was a little upset but it did not last long. I think it was the noise that came out of her mouth it startled me also. I was just sitting there across the room and heard snap. She cried at first then she said just get it all the way out and Phil just got it right out. I have some pics I will post later of the blood dripping out of her mouth it was kinda funny. She said that did not hurt and was excited about the tooth fairies arrival. She woke up at mid night to tell phil the tooth fairy had already come and brought her a whole dollar. Then this afternoon when she got home off the bus she tells me a boy in her class said the tooth fairy is not real. Come on kid let me be the one who does that and really its her first tooth. She said he lost his tooth and got no money I told her it was because he did not believe in her. So hopefully we fixed that problem. I just want to say that I did not realize how sad it is when your baby loses her first tooth. It is just another change in their little lives and for mine too. I realized last night with each tooth she pulls the more she grows up and the less she needs me. Sad hu but it happens we all have to do it and hopefully she will get her two front teeth sooner than I did. It took almost a year for mine to come in and let me tell you my brother had a hey day with that one.

Busy Weekend

Not just a busy weekend but a busy last week. The wedding was great and the bride and groom looked great and I am pretty sure they were glad to move on to their honeymoon. Hey don't worry it won't last long ha ha. I am so excited about the upcoming holidays I just love when it gets close to Halloween because then its just a rush until all the other great holidays. I already know what Santa is bringing Riley. I also can't wait to carve our pumpkins I love to do those little child things maybe this year the kids will actually touch the insides of the pumpkin. I am usually the one who does it. I am trying to think what has been going on lately with the kids not much really just kids being kids. Riley did go spend the day with my granny her great granny on Monday since it was a teacher workday. I think that is so great that she will get to remember spending time with her great granny. So the boys and I went to moms and helped her build tanks. That was fun and the kids always love going to POLK county they just run around and make a mess of everything in sight. Mom also got a hot tub that hopefully we will get in this weekend. We are going to this thing called the Boo House we went last year and the kids loved it. Oh yea Riley has her first loose tooth actually two of them. I tried to pull them last night and I just can't bring myself to do it. I think she will probably do it herself she is pretty independent. October is here!

I have gotten really bad about blogging I just run out of time. I think to myself when I get home from school before I get Riley I will blog. Then I run out of time doing something else or get on the computer and get sucked into something else. Anyway, I am here now and its already 4:00 and I have to finish laundry and go stir my soup in the crock pot but it can wait a minute. Remember last post I was talking of my cute little niece well she had her 1st birthday party last weekend and it was great. My friend Autumn and I had a yard sale on Friday and Saturday of last weekend and did not even make enough for a full tank of gas! Oh well we did make enough for a case of beer and firewood so it turned out to be a good night. The boys went to the Black Hawk football game a we girls enjoyed a night at the campfire talking about girl stuff for once. I will have to say what is with people who try to Jew you down from 1.00 to .50 come on its a 1.00. You are at a yard sale for crying out loud but hey it worked on me. I am even more excited about this weekend we are having Autumns bachelorette party on Sat. I can't wait to go out and have some fun on the town. What makes it even better is my friend Jennifer from GA is coming in to visit. So I will let you know how it goes and I be sure to post some pics. We are in the middle of changing computers so I am trying to down load pics from this computer before we switch so we will see.

No more Babies!

Like I said no more babies! I got the privilege to keep my niece this past weekend and I had so much fun with her. She is almost 1 and so darn cute little Junie Mae Mitchell. Phil and I both decided that she is not as cute at 5:30 in the morning that is the time this little sweet child woke up. I have not gotten up with a baby that early in well at least 3 years. I had forgotten all the hard work that goes into taking care of a 1 year old. Then I realized how my children are needing me less and less. Its nice in one way but it really made me sad to think about how they are growing up so fast. So just a little thought for the day ''When your kids are all over you and fight over who gets to sit beside you first on the couch and you just want to be left alone don't tell them to get up and move cherish the moment because they will soon be all to big to fit on the love seat with you.'' Enough sadness I did enjoy Junie Mae but I was so glad to finally be the one who gets to send her back. My family has always joked about being able to send my kids back. It was a great feeling and maybe in a few more weeks I will be rested up enough to watch her again! I also know why I was 10 pounds lighter when the boys were 1.

How Time Flies!

I can finally begin to blog once again since summer is almost over. It is starting to get cooler outside and school is officially in full swing. So I have to be inside more often which means I now have time for the computer. lets see I need to pause for a moment to get Riley off the bus be right back.....ok we are all home let the fun begin! I know have to do homework with Riley which she really enjoys I don't mind the writing and the math but the reading takes forever. I think its great that she reads so well "and she is reading on a second grade level".. I just had to brag! Anyway it is just so boring and takes so long and she gets so distracted I mean a 6 year old reading 40 pages or more come on. I will have to go right now Riley is having an emotional break down about the boys messing up her room while she was at school. Which happens often and she is an emotional female I can only picture her at 16! Lets hope time does not fly to fast I want to enjoy just the minor problems we face at the Mccurry household. Back in Action

Wow, has this summer gone so fast! I am finally back on the internet and I am already behind on things I need to get done. I am glad that summer is over and school has once again started. Not because the kids are gone only Riley is but anyway, so that I can get organized again. I have already cleaned out 3 closets and school just started this week. We had a great summer and were gone most of the time. We were at the beach camping and then went camping at Toe River. We had a blast and although it was tons of fun I was ready to be out of a camper. The kids are great and Riley is getting to be so much older and more mature. The boys are still boys and I think that they have not matured much at all but thats okay. There day will come soon enough I just enjoying them as wild and crazy as they are. I will try to get some new pics up soon!

Hey all! Sorry its been so long our computer has been messed up and I don't even know if this will post. It has also been really nice out and I really have not been inside that much only to clean and do laundry. We did go camping two weekends ago and had a blast I finally caught two trout. I was so excited the kids also went fishing and rode their bikes. Since Garett can ride his bike without training wheels he and Riley can ride pretty good together. All I have left is to get Grayson to do it but I am in no rush they just turned 4. Anyway I have to run but I will try to get some pics and write a little more about whats been going on.
